Cauliflower from the oven

I love cauliflower. It is versatile to prepare and a healthy addition to any meal. It belongs to the cruciferous family and is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

In this recipe, the cauliflower is roasted in the oven to give it a crispy texture and delicious aroma. Oven roasting intensifies the natural flavours of the vegetable and creates a deliciously delicate taste.

Did you know that cauliflower comes in different colours? Besides white cauliflower, there are also purple, yellow and green varieties. These differ not only in colour, but also in taste and nutrients. Purple cauliflower, for example, contains anthocyanins, which have antioxidant properties and help the body defend itself against free radicals.

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Baking time: 20 minutes

6 tablespoons olive oil

Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. Remove the stems and leaves.
  3. Use only the florets and cut them into small pieces. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  4. Mix the olive oil, salt and pepper well and brush the vegetables with it.
  5. Bake for at least 20 minutes. Serve with parmesan cheese.

You can use the leftovers of the cauliflower to make a soup or cauliflower puffers.
